Managing partner of Prospectiva Consulting, coordinates several projects in the areas of public affairs and government relations, trade and investment policies, political risk, strategic planning based on free trade agreements, international negotiations, among others for companies, business associations and government agencies. Industry expertise includes information technology, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, financial services, consumer goods and agribusiness. Prior to joining Prospectiva, Ricardo Mendes was trade policy analyst at the Federation of Industries of the State of Sao Paulo (Sao Paulo). He holds a BA in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC -SP) and a Masters Degree (MPhil) in International Relations from the University of Cambridge (Foreign and Commonwealth Chevining Scholar). Ricardo has several articles and op eds published in leading international journals and business newspaper. He also teaches trade policy at leading MBA programs. Fluent in English and Portuguese.

Attorney at Law graduated from the University of São Paulo (1965), has a vast experience in the financial capital markets in Brazil and abroad. President of FINACORP, the first Brazilian merchant banking Brazilian company, which was founded by him in 1973, with BCN Bank. Former contributor of the newspaper Última Hora (1973/76), Sunday columnist of O Estado de São Paulo (1983/91) and member of the Board of the Institute for Advanced Studies of the University of São Paulo (1982/92). Member of the Group of International Affairs (GACINT), of the University of São Paulo and partner of the Lawyers Institute.

Specialist in economic and political scenarios, Ricardo Sennes coordinates several projects focusing strategic planning focusing high tech industries, innovation policies, internationalization and regulatory affairs. Former coordinator of the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) in São Paulo. Visiting researcher at the International Relations Center of the University of São Paulo (USP), at the Woodrow Wilson Institute in Washington, DC, and at the Iberian and Latin American Studies Center of the University of California in San Diego (UCSD). Author of the book “Brazil’s Foreign Policy Changes in the 80´s: A Newly Industrialized Middle Power” (2003) and co-organizer of the book “Financial Services and the Internationalization of the Brazilian Companies: Public Policies and Private Strategies”. Currently, he is also the Coordinator-General of International Conjuncture Analysis Group (GACINT) at the University of São Paulo. Diplomat, former Brazilian Ambassador to Washington (2004-2007), Vienna (2002-2004), Berlin (1995-2002), Beijing (1989-1993), Quito (1985-1988) and Secretary General of the Ministry of External Relations (1993-1995). Ambassador Roberto Abdenur holds a bachelor degree in law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and a Master Degree (MSc) in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Full consultant at Prospectiva, Gabriel participates of several public affairs and government relations projects for clients from the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Project responsibilities include quantitative data collection, monitoring of facts and developments affecting these industries, elaboration of studies and policy papers, among others. Holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Trevisan Business School and has worked as analyst for investors relations at Indusval Mulstock Bank in São Paulo. Gabriel has academic interest in the the trade and investment policy area, and has conducted research on the impact of financial services markets liberalization in case Brazil decides to join OECD. Fluent in English and in Portuguese.
Executive Director of Prospectiva Consultoria. He holds a Bachelors Degree in International Relations from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP). Master in public administration and government in the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV-EAESP). Expertises in Operational Business Management from the Ibmec São Paulo; and business strategic planning on innovation and on new ventures projects focusing both start-up and spin-off business plan. Previously, he performed as manager of innovation and entrepreneurship in the Commercial National Learning Service (Senac, Sao Paulo); as consultant to the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management; and as coordinator of the many international relations academic forums in Brazil. He also teaches in post-graduation level (MBA) at Business School São Paulo. Presently, Director of Education and Public Policies at Endeavor Institute.
He is graduated in Business Administration at FEA / USP (1999) and has a Master Degree in Business Administration at FGV-SP, in Strategy (2006-2008). He is a specialist in the application of Decision Theory to the top managers’ needs, assisting them in developing strategies, deciding over new investments, prioritizing actions in entering new markets and products launches. Using resources of Strategy, Decision Theory and Foresight, he has served clients from various sectors and themes such as infrastructure, transportation, pulp and paper, digital agencies, education and tourism companies. His dissertation, at FGV, analyzed strategic actions and reactions of Brazilian companies in the sugarcane and alcohol sector given the industry turbulence over the period from 2003 to 2008, driven mainly by expectations of demand increases for ethanol in the world, consolidation movements and new investments. Marcos also develops teaching activities, focusing on in-company courses and MBA, at FIA and Vanzolini Foundation. He is a member of the Núcleo Decide (2006), a research group on Decision Theory at FEA / USP.
