The Magazine IstoÉ Dinheiro interviewed Ricardo Mendes, Director of Prospectiva Consulting about the possibility of creating a Brazilian pharmaceutical giant. He considered that generic companies in emerging countries just like Brazil are targets for big pharma multinationa. Retaliation products may become more expensive in the Brazilian market

The Brazilian government intends to retaliate United States in intellectual property as authorized by the WTO in the cotton case. However, such action can provoke side effects "The official document released by the government is too broad by involving six sort of retaliation" says Ricardo Camargo Mendes, director of Prospectiva Consulting.
