In a meeting organized by the Commission of Human Rights of the Chamber of Representatives, the director of the HIV/AIDS National Program asked UNAIDS to support restrictive policies against patents, such as compulsory license. The Representative Paulo Teixeira (PT – SP), head of “Parliamentary HIV/AIDS Group” proposed the review of the international legislation about patents, with the participation of UNAIDS.

Em uma reunião organizada pela Comissão de Direitos Humanos da Câmara dos Deputados, a diretora do Programa Nacional HIV/AIDS pediu à UNAIDS apoio em políticas restritivas contra patentes, como o licensiamento compulsório. O lídera da Frente Parlamentar do HIV/AIDS, Dep. Paulo Teixeira (PT - SP) propôs uma revisão na legislação internacional de patentes com a participação do UNAIDS.
